Painting with Light
Enhancing natural landscapes with "super"-natural light
This article is not about "painter of light" Thomas Kinkade; it's rather about less-established but extremely talented photographers, who use dynamic electric light patterns to enhance the nature's given landscapes, or our bleak industrial environments. In every case something luminous and strangely mesmerizing is brought "to light", transforming the photograph into an entirely different experience, and making our hearts beat faster.

The Attack On The USS Liberty
by James Abourezk
HOW TO DESTROY A U.S. NAVY SHIP AND GET AWAY WITH IT
James Scott’s father was a young ensign on board the U.S.S. Liberty when the Israelis attacked the ship with fighter jets, bomber jets, and torpedo boats. The Israeli jets strafed the American sailors as they were trying to escape the slaughter, while later, an Israeli torpedo blew a giant hole in the side of the ship which nearly sank the Liberty. Even napalm was used against the Liberty’s crew. A sitting duck for the Israeli Air Force and Navy, the Liberty was a U.S. intelligence ship that carried only 50 caliber machine guns for protection. That the ship didn’t sink is something of a miracle. The sneak Israeli attack resulted in the killing of 34 American sailors and wounded 171 more. The attack was a war crime of serious proportions.Top 10 Must Have Cool Home Accessories

Top Ten Hottest Female Villains
There is something about male villains that makes us hate them. Whenever there is a scene where the male villain is kicking someone else and beating the shit out of them, we are silently (and sometimes even out loud) cursing them. But when it is a female villain instead we are all eyes and ears. It always is a sight to behold. And yes feel free to believe that the producers and directors are perhaps biased because not as much attention is paid to detail when it comes to a male villain. With female villains however, it is the complete opposite. Scroll down and you will get the proof that you are looking for.

Dust Storms - When the Air Turns Against You
They are known by many names: Haboob, Simum, Black Blizzards. A solid wall of dust almost a mile high, moving whole sand dunes and bringing Biblical darkness to the huge areas of the world. Scorching hot winds (up to 40 degrees Celsius) blowing the sand around with hurricane speeds... What seems extreme to us is actually a common occurrence in Africa and the Middle East. The similar sand-saturated hurricane-speed storms over Mediterranian are called Sirocco, Yugo and Ghibli. The dust (or desert sand) particles become airborne and held in suspension, creating a moving front. The convection of cold air over the heated ground maintains the storm and keeps the dust rolling.

Powerbreather Snorkel
The Powerbreather is a breathing system (based on the concept of a sealed snorkel) and developed in Germany. The system uses a patented air flow pumped by a valve mechanism. The Powerbreather allows only air to pass through the pipe leading to the mouth of a swimmer. The Powerbreather avoids strain on the neck muscles, which is usually done by turning the neck and head, in order to breathe. Thus, the Powerbreather allows the swimmer to concentrate on his/her technical improvements. The water can not enter the system, even with the swimmer immersing further, because the two valves only allow air to be inhaled.

From Page to Screen: The 6 Best & Worst Superhero Costumes
by : Paul Young
Not every superhero outfit drawn in the pages of a comic book looks great on screen. Some can be replicated exactly from the printed page to movie or TV set and look great with not a hint of cheese to be found - others, not so much. Should costume designers take liberties when replicating a superhero's outfit, as they did with Elektra? She would have looked pretty funny (albeit sexy) running around the city wearing just a red bandanna cap and straps covering her womanly parts.
Or should designers stick to replicating a superhero outfit as faithfully as possible to honor the comic book, as they did with Supergirl? Her outfit was almost directly copied from the comic book page - but somehow the end result looked... less than great.
While all of us at Screen Rant worked together to compile this list of superhero outfits we felt were the best and worst to make the leap from page to screen, some of us didn't entirely agree with every choice. So we created a “Special Mentions” section at the end with the superhero outfits we felt could go either way.

If You Shift An Automatic While Driving, Will You Damage Your Engine?
Here's an obvious but fundamental difference between people who learned to drive stick and those who've driven only ordinary automatics (a growing number, as traditional manuals disappear): Stick drivers are used to shifting while in motion. In an automatic, you shift only when stopped. Perhaps because of that, many drivers greet the idea of shifting while in motion with terror, fearing that they'll somehow blow up the engine or cause some awful mechanical shriek by sticking the car in neutral. Or worse, that they'll accidentally put it into reverse or park while cruising down the highway.
